Roseville-based John Mourier Construction Inc. has bought nearly $6 million worth of single-family home lots in the Whitney Ranch development of Rocklin.
According to property records, JMC bought two separate groups of lots in early December. One, at 821 Baronial Lane in Rocklin, includes 20 parcels and cost $2.495 million. The other, at 2726 Hidden Trail Loop, includes more than 20 parcels and sold for $2.59 million.
The two parcels are within less than a mile of each other. JMC Homes is active with two single-family home projects in Whitney Ranch near the sold parcels, Wild Oak and The Overlook. Homes in the latter start at about $420,000 and range from 1,600 to 2,492 square feet. Wild Oak homes start at $584,900 and range from 2,825 to 4,003 square feet, according to JMC Homes’ website.
It was not clear whether the lots included in the two sales would be part of Wild Oak or The Overlook, or another subdivision. A representative for JMC Homes did not respond to an inquiry about the sales.
Approved in the mid-2000s, Whitney Ranch was planned to have more than 3,000 single-family homes over 1,800 acres in the city’s northwestern corner. Multifamily units, commercial space, parks, schools and open space are also part of the development.
Sunset Rancho Investors LLC, based in Stockton, is listed as the seller for both land sales.
